  • Time: 5:30pm until the music stops
  • Dress: Leave the fancy clothes at home, but wear something your mother would approve of.
  • Food & Libations There will be BBQ by Four Rivers Smokehouse, and plenty of beer and wine.

Our Story

  • Appetizer

    In 2008, Josh searched Match.com for “redheads” and came across Angela’s profile. He says he was smitten by her smile and sense of humor, so he sent a lengthy email – which she never got. Angela found his profile in October, and sent him a wink… the day after he had decided to take a break from dating. He remembered the smile, and decided it might be worth the renewal price for the website so he could email her back. Josh then did a celebratory Robot dance. They met for a four-hour dinner at Mellow Mushroom, enjoying a Hawaiian pizza with bacon, and great conversation.

  • Entreé

    In March 2009, Angela told Josh that she loved him. While they were visiting Ft. Myers in June, Josh told Angela that she was his one. In February 2010, Josh gave Angela a 25-cent ring from a restaurant vending machine, and asked her to marry him someday. They used to give each other the kind of mushy, cutesy pet names that cause friends and family to make excuses to leave the room, and decided that they wanted to have one personal nickname for each other. Josh chose Freckles, because he thought hers were beautiful; she chose Handsome because he is.

  • Dessert

    Over the next few months, they actually proposed to each other several times.
    In May, Josh suggested a sunset walk around a nearby lake. They walked to a bench, and Josh suggested they sit and snuggle while they watched the sun set over the water. Angela laid her head on his shoulder and said, “This is perfect”, which is exactly what Josh had known she would say. He got down on one knee, at the park bench by the lake, and said, “You know what else would be perfect?” – and she said “Yes!”.
